2025 Annual Report

        This past year has been a huge step forward for Silent Battles. Because of your support, we were able to host events, assist individuals and families during difficult times, and continue spreading awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Every donation, share, volunteer hour, and encouraging message helped make an impact. We are grateful for every person who believes in our mission and stands beside us as we continue turning struggles into strength, one step at a time.

Carrying Their Memory Through the Holidays

• Purpose: Holiday outreach and support for families spending Thanksgiving and Christmas without a loved one.

• Participants: 32

• Funds Raised After Expenses: $270.56

• Summary: This event focused on bringing awareness to mental health struggles during the holiday season while also supporting families affected by loss. Funds helped support outreach efforts and community assistance initiatives.

• Purpose: Supporting first responders, military members, and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice as a result from 9/11.

• Summary: Silent Battles attended the Tunnel to Towers event in Biloxi to show 
  support for the mission of honoring fallen heroes and supporting their families. Participation in this event helped strengthen community connection with veterans, first responders, and organizations that share similar values of service, sacrifice, and support.

• Purpose: Community awareness and outreach.

• Summary: Silent Battles attended the Eye of the Tiger event in Columbia, 
  Mississippi to engage with community members, spread awareness about mental health and suicide prevention, and continue building relationships within the local area. Events like these help expand outreach efforts and connect individuals with available support resources.

• Purpose: Bringing people together through fellowship, support, and community connection.

• Summary: Silent Battles hosted monthly rucks and meetups designed to strengthen bonds within the community and remind individuals that they are never alone in their struggles. These events encouraged teamwork, accountability, friendship, and peer support among veterans, first responders, and community members.

• Purpose: To provide encouragement, companionship, to show them that they are not forgotten about, and support to veterans during the holiday season.

• Summary: Using a portion of the funds raised from the Carrying Their Memory
  Through the Holidays event, Silent Battles partnered with students from West
  Marion High School to create personalized goodie bags for veterans living at the VA Home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The bags included some of the veterans’ favorite snacks along with handwritten letters from students offering words of encouragement and appreciation. Members of Silent Battles personally delivered the bags and spent time with the veterans sharing stories, memories, and conversation during the holiday season. This outreach focused on reminding veterans that they are valued, remembered, and never alone.

• Community Impact: Strengthened community involvement between local students, veterans, and volunteers while creating meaningful connections during a difficult time of year.
