2 / Sexual Abuse Counseling,
Therapy, and Drug Rehab
Sexual abuse is a significant contributor to trauma and one of the leading risk factors for addiction. Survivors often turn to drugs or alcohol to numb emotional pain, cope with anxiety in relationships, or manage the absence of supportive coping mechanisms. This cycle of self-medication frequently develops into Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Rehab programs for sexual abuse survivors focus on treating both trauma and addiction together.
